Craigdarroch
Castle
Located a short drive or a leisurely walk from the downtown harbour, just
off Fort Street at 1050 Joan Crescent, Victoria, BC, Canada, Craigdarroch
Castle is a beautiful historic Victorian-era mansion, built in the 1890s
by wealthy BC coal baron Robert Dunsmuir. It is now owned by the Craigdarroch
Castle Historical Museum Society and almost totally funded by its 150,000
annual visitors.

Gardens
This world famous display of garden wizardry is open year-round and is
a must see during your visit to this "City of Gardens". Contains
fifty-five acres of wonderful floral display, offering spectacular views
as you stroll along meandering paths and expansive lawns. Spectacular
light show in winter with live entertainment and restaurants.

The
National Geographic Imax Theatre
A 406 seat theatre features the 2-D IMAX Experience; with a projected
area more than 6 stories high and 70 feet wide, up to 10 times larger
than conventional screens, filling the viewer's entire field of vision.
The theatre gives you the most powerful and involving film experience,
bringing images to life with 12,000 watts of IMAX Digital surround sound.

or the future frontiers of Space, Fantasy Land, the amazing Victorian

Bug Zoo
Discover over 40 fascinating species including Canada's largest ant farm.
The Bug Zoo is open every day and is located just one block north of the
Fairmont Empress Hotel in the heart of downtown Victoria.

Sightseeing Tours
Central park style carriage ride is a guided tour that begins from downtown,
near the Victoria Harbour and continues through some of the cities most
beautiful heritage houses in Southern Vancouver Island. Guided tours also

Ecology Centre
Located in the Port Sidney Marina in downtown Sidney BC they are open
to the public and feature group programs. Operated by the Friends of the
Marine Ecology Station, a nonprofit society , they also offer educational
programs year-round for school and college groups as well as for other
organized groups and individuals.
Fort
Rodd Hill National Historic Site of Canada
Fort Rodd Hill NHS commemorates the national significance of the Victoria-Esquimalt
coast artillery fortress in the defense of Victoria and the naval base
at Esquimalt harbour, as part of the larger defense strategy of the British
Empire and Canada, 1878 to 1956. This is a highly recommended day trip
to a unique place in Victoria.
Beacon
Hill Park
A crown jewel in Downtown Victoria, this park is beautifully landscaped
and manicured with bridges, lakes and ponds, and an alpine and rock garden.
It is home to numerous species of ducks, birds and wildlife. The park
also boasts wondrous displays of exotic and native trees, including Garry
Oak, Arbutus, Douglas-fir, Western Red Cedar, birch, willow and maples
- to name just a few.
